COMPLETION OF THE WORK OPTIMIZATION EXPECTED TO BE SOON

In line with the expected increase in traffic at Sarajevo International Airport in the last few months, refurbishment of existing facilities in order to provide to passengers and other users the highest quality service, has been initiated.
Optimizing of space in Terminal B is in progress along with the capacity expansion in order to increase the number of check-in counters of passangers and baggage from 12 to 15 counters, which will increase the speed of their processing.
Refurbishment of the incoming gate is already in the final stage, and its surface is now higher by 70 percent so reversing the problem of passengers retention at passport controls. As part of the renovation process, the reconfiguration of the baggage carousel has been carried out, which will result in faster and more efficient processing of passengers in this segment.
In order to provide to passangers an easier access to customs in the free zone of movement, one can find the free access Customs Counter located at the ground floor of Terminal B whereas the Information booth was moved to a new location and it is now located across the entrance to the terminal building so becoming more visible for passangers.
In the coming period it is planned to initiate the construction of rapid exit way, which will contribute to increase the quality of trafic of Aircrafts, as well as to the expansion of parking space. As one of the largest and most demanding projects we highlight the reconstruction of the runway.
Ahead of the Sarajevo International Airport are still demanding and ambitious projects, such as building an exclusive VIP lounge as well as the reconstruction of the Airport Restaurant and many others. All these projects aim to justify the trust of our passengers, who we expect in record numbers this year, as well as the trust of our long-term and future business partners.
